Evaluation of the Arabic language textbook for the second intermediate grade from the point of view of Arabic language teachers and supervisors

Abstract

The current study aimed at (evaluating the Arabic language book for the second intermediate grade from the point of view of teachers and supervisors of the Arabic language). The original amount of (1581) teachers and school, and the researcher adopted the descriptive approach because it is compatible with the procedures of her research through a questionnaire that included (90) paragraphs distributed over six fields, distributed to the members of the research sample after finding the validity and reliability of it, the researcher adopted the Pearson correlation coefficient, the weighted mean, and the weight The percentile is a statistical means, and the percentage is an arithmetic means to deal with the search results statistically. The researcher reached a number of results, including: The book lacks an introduction that explains the purpose of teaching the book. The content of the book suffers from many weaknesses and shortcomings. The examples and exercises are not at the required level. The language of the book needs to be modified and reformulated. In the light of the findings of the current research, the researcher recommends the following: The need to take into account the opinions of teachers and supervisors of the Arabic language and its teachers in improving this book and involving them in the authoring and development committees. Conducting an evaluation study for Arabic language writers for all intermediate stages in the light of the variables of experience, gender, and academic qualification.
