هدف البحث الى تعرف العلاقة بين وهم السيطرة والحاجة الشخصية للبناء لدى المرشدين التربويين ،وقد استعمل الباحث المنهج الوصفي وبلغت عينة الدراسة (150) مرشداً تربوياً. وقد بنى الباحث مقياس وهم السيطرة وفقا لنظرية لانجر وقد جرى التحقق من خصائصة السيكومترية واستخدم مقياس ثومبسن و اخرونThompson et al (1992). G لحاجة الشخصية للبناء والتحقق من خصائصة السيكومترية من صدق (الترجمة و الظاهري ، و البناء) والثبات باستعمال (الاتساق الداخلي الفاكرونباخ ). ولاستخراج نتائج البحث استعمل الباحث الاختبار التائي لعينة واحدة , ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون لكشف العلاقة بين المتغيرين , وتوصل البحث الى نتائج عدة أهمها :- وجود وهم السيطرة والحاجة الشخصية للبناء لدى المرشدين التربويين ، واظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية بين وهم السيطرة والحاجة الشخصية للبناء لدى المرشدين التربويين.
