Copyright and Licensing Policy

Al-Fateh Journal for Educational and Psychological Research adopts a clear copyright and licensing policy consistent with its open-access policy. This policy protects authors’ rights and regulates the use and reuse of published scholarly content.

First: Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright to their works published in the journal and grant Al-Fateh Journal for Educational and Psychological Research the right of first publication and the right to make the work available and distribute it as the official published version.

Publication in the journal does not transfer copyright ownership from the authors to the journal.

Authors’ approval of the final version for publication constitutes their agreement to publish and make the article available under the terms of this policy and the applicable license.

Second: Publication License

All articles published by the journal are licensed under the:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License
(CC BY 4.0)

This license permits users to:

  1. Read, download, copy, and print the article.
  2. Share and distribute the article in any medium or format.
  3. Archive and deposit the article in scholarly and institutional repositories.
  4. Reuse, adapt, translate, and build upon the published content.
  5. Use the content for commercial and noncommercial purposes.

These rights may be exercised without obtaining additional permission, provided that the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license are fully observed.

Third: Attribution Requirements

Any use, sharing, or adaptation of a published article must include:

  1. The name of the author or authors.
  2. The title of the article.
  3. The name of Al-Fateh Journal for Educational and Psychological Research.
  4. The volume, issue, and page information, where available.
  5. A link to the published version or its DOI.
  6. A reference or link to the CC BY 4.0
  7. A clear indication of any modification, translation, abridgment, or other adaptation made to the original work.

Attribution must not be presented in a manner suggesting that the authors or the journal endorse the user, benefiting organization, product, or subsequent adaptation unless explicit permission has been obtained.

Fourth: Authors’ Rights After Publication

Authors may retain and exercise the following rights:

  1. Share the published version through their personal or academic websites.
  2. Deposit the article in institutional or scholarly repositories.
  3. Use the article or parts of it in subsequent scholarly or educational works.
  4. Distribute it to students, researchers, and institutions.
  5. Reuse its content in a book, academic thesis or dissertation, or subsequent work, provided that the journal is acknowledged as the place of first publication.

When reusing the article, authors must cite the original publication details and provide the article link or DOI in accordance with the license terms.

Fifth: Third-Party Materials

The article license does not automatically apply to an image, table, research instrument, scale, or other material owned by a third party when a separate copyright notice or different terms appear beside that material.

Authors are responsible for:

  1. Obtaining all required permissions before submitting copyrighted materials.
  2. Properly acknowledging the rights holders and original sources.
  3. Providing the journal with evidence of permission when requested.
  4. Clearly stating any restrictions applicable to the reuse of materials included in the article.

Users are responsible for obtaining permission from the rights holder before reusing any material that is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license.

Sixth: Protection of the Integrity of the Published Work

The license does not permit:

  1. Attributing the work to a person who did not contribute to its authorship.
  2. Removing the authors’ names or original publication information.
  3. Distorting the content or presenting it in a misleading manner.
  4. Claiming that the authors or the journal endorse a subsequent use without permission.
  5. Imposing legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the license.

All uses remain subject to the principles of research integrity, proper attribution, and the prohibition of distortion or misuse of the work.

Seventh: Official Published Version

The version published on the journal’s website constitutes the official version of record. When sharing, depositing, or reusing the article, users are encouraged to cite and link to this version through its DOI.

Any correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice issued in relation to the article shall remain linked to the original version and shall form part of its scholarly record.
