Emotional contagion and its relationship to the showmanship of middle school students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the level of emotional contagion and the level of showy personality among middle school students, as well as to identify the significance of the differences according to the gender variable (males-females), as well as the correlation between the two variables, and in order to verify this, the researcher adopted the measure of emotional contagion Prepared by Hatfield 1994 and translated by Al-Shammari 2013, as the number of its final paragraphs reached (18) paragraphs, and the exhibition personality scale prepared by (Saleh 2016) was adopted, as the number of its final paragraphs reached (45)Paragraph, and their psychometric characteristics were confirmed, and the two tools were applied to a sample of (140) male and female students, who were chosen by the cluster random method from two schools in the first Rusafa district, and two schools in the third Karkh district / Baghdad governorate, for the academic year 2018-2019, and the results of the research showed

The research sample of middle school students had active infection.
There are statistically significant differences between (males and females) in emotional contagion and in favor of females.
The research sample of middle school students do not have a showy personality.
There are no statistically significant differences between (males and females) in showmanship.
The results of the statistical analysis showed that there is no significant correlation between the variables of the current research, emotional infection and showy personality, according to the sample as a whole.
