Self-confidence and their relationship to collecting school students at the Faculty of Education at the University of protectors of the second
Abstract
The process of self-confidence is one of the important central topics in psychology, social and educational psychology, as it is viewed by workers in these fields as representing a major dimension in understanding personality, as it is not possible to achieve a clear understanding of personality or behavior without knowledge, or verifying the process of self-confidence Accordingly, this research addresses the definition of self-confidence, and its relationship to academic achievement among students of the Second College of Education at Al-Baath University. Specifically, the current research tries to test the following hypotheses: 1- There is a positive relationship between self-confidence among students of the Second College of Education at Al-Baath University, and the level of academic achievement. . 2- Is there a statistically significant relationship between the scores obtained by students (sample members) on the self-confidence measurement tool, and the scores obtained by the students themselves in academic achievement. 3 - There is no significant correlation between the self-confidence of the respondents and their gender. 4 - There is no significant correlation between the self-confidence of the respondents and their academic specialization. The research community may be students of the College of Education in the second year and the third year of the academic year 2007-2008. As for the research sample, it consisted of (120) male and female students; Of them, (60) male and female students from the scientific branch and (60) male and female students from the literary branch, and they were chosen in a simple random way. The stability coefficient was high. To analyze the data, the researcher used the statistical package in human sciences (SPSS).
