Hammad and professional narrator accused
Abstract
It has settled among scholars of Arabic poetry before Islam that the stages that this poetry traveled through in its long journey to reach its mature and complete image are ambiguous and surrounded by questioning, as the poetry of those stages did not reach us what reveals to us this mysterious initialism, and all that we have in our hands is an example of a poetic product. A mature person who does not go far in his incursion beyond two hundred years before Islam - according to Al-Jahiz's opinion - and had it not been for the virtue of the novel and the narrators, we would not have known this literary heritage, regardless of what befell him through the journey of the novel and the interventions of the narrators. Arabic, who pledged themselves to serve this language and its literature, was grieving in themselves to find a group of these narrators from whom people took poetry, and some of them were characterized by corruption, distrust, and intentional fabrication. All the poems that are narrated from them, especially since these narrators are numerous, so they cannot be counted, and they carried pre-Islamic poetry to the era of codification. Accused and documented, but what can be recorded in this regard is that the narrators of Basra were ahead of the narrators of Kufa, as the head of the narrators of Basra, Abu Amr bin Al-Ala, was trustworthy and reliable, while the head of the narrators of Kufah was Hammad bin Maysara (known as Hammad the narrator) who was accused. What he tells is tainted by doubt and caution, and since a group of famous scholars we found praising, on the other hand, this man’s knowledge, intelligence, and power of memorization, we rushed with this research, intending to uncover the truth and unveil that science, which some accuse of corruption, because of what was narrated on Hammad. From accounts that prove his prowess in bees and his daring in that, and we have sought this goal by making the research in two chapters, the first turns to his life and the second to his accused scientificity.
