Child abuse and parental relationship with the educational level of parents in the city of Baquba
Abstract
Children have been subjected to ill-treatment from time immemorial, but this ill-treatment did not obtain an officially recognized designation until recently, and on the basis of this, some countries have enacted systems and laws to deal with cases of child abuse and neglect, and child abuse is more like a pest that attacks the minds and personalities of individuals. A contagious organic virus that breeds, reproduces, and is transmitted from one person to another in a vicious circle through extended generations. Every victim infected with it almost transmits it to one or more victims, and children who are subjected to mistreatment at a young age are closer to practicing this heinous behavior when they grow up against their children who are It seems that they carry the effects of this rampant disease inside them, so they vent their pain if they grow up for their young, and thus the problem continues in a vicious circle that must be broken. Interest in children began in the early twenties of the last century with the emergence of laws to protect children, where the first declaration of the rights of the child was issued in 1923, and the Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child crystallized in 1924, then the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted in 1959 a universal declaration of the rights of the child, followed by the declaration in 1979 An international year for the child, and in 1989 the Convention on the Rights of the Child was issued, which pledged to protect and promote the rights of the child, support his growth and development, and combat all forms and levels of violence that may be directed against him. Article (19) of the Convention included protecting the child from all forms of violence, physical and mental abuse, sexual exploitation, etc. The state takes measures to prevent this, including the intervention of the judiciary (Chalabi, 2003, p. 1). The process of unanimous upbringing in the family at this stage is affected by the relationships between parents and the child and their attitudes towards parents, the gender of the child, the importance of the family psychological atmosphere, the degree of personal maturity of the parents, and the level of educational attainment of the parents are important variables. With regard to the child's compatibility, most of the child's compatibility is learned from the parents through the process of uniting with them and embodying their personalities.
