Islam and over dowry
Abstract
The dowry is the dowry that the man pays to his wife and collects a dowry, and the dowry for the woman is the precious dowry. Some scholars believe that the dowry is what must be named in the contract, and the dowry is not required otherwise (2), and the money paid to the wife is called dowry as a notification that the husband is sincere in his willingness to marry her and have an honorable relationship with her (3), and its names also include: the bee, the barren, and the obligatory, And length, and love, and wages, and relationships (4). Some of these synonyms have been used in the Holy Qur’an, in the Almighty’s saying (and give the women their alms as a bee) (5), where the word (bee and alms) was mentioned. The term “obligatory” came in the Almighty’s saying: “And if you divorce them before you touch them, and you have imposed an obligation on them, then half of what you have imposed, except that they forgive or forgive the one in whose hand is the marriage knot. And the wage is in the sense of the dowry in the Almighty’s saying: (And whoever among you is not able to marry chaste, believing women for a length of time, then what your faith possesses from among your believing maidens. Verse (2), and it came in the hadith: Perform the ties. It was said: Oh Messenger of God: What are the ties? He said: What the parents agree upon (3), which is the dowry. Likewise, the dowry was called barren in the words of Umar, may God be pleased with him: She has barren women. And the same on the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him (4)
