Abstract
He is Ahmed bin Ali bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Shihab bin Al-Jamal bin Abi Al-Yaman Al-Qalqashandi Al-Qahiri Al-Shafi’i, born in the year seven hundred and fifty-six. He was familiar with jurisprudence and one of his sheikhs (Ibn al-Mashikha), who is considered one of the virtuous in the sciences of jurisprudence, so that he was proficient in it and had knowledge in literature, and he was considered one of the writers of his time, so he wrote in the composition, a fan in judgment and explained the book Jami al-Mukhtasarat, and even began to compose it. The author was born in his country called "Qalqshanda", and it is one of the works of the city of Qalyubia in the Egyptian lands, and he is of Arab origin from Bani Fazara bin Qais Ailan, because Bani Fazara arrived in Egypt with the Islamic conquests of the countries of the Maghreb and settled in the region of Qalyubia and the Banu Badr took over this region And they had control and dominance over their neighbors from among the uncles, especially Bani Mazen bin Fazara, because this town called Qalqshandah has two divisions, namely the Bani Badr division and the Bani Mazen division (1).
