Civil society and the state field differentiation and integration of roles
Abstract
The importance of research on the issue of civil society and the state stems from many factors, foremost of which is the increasing talk about civil society, especially, in the last two decades of the twentieth century and beyond, until it became a common term in the productions of intellectuals and in the contents of the media and academic studies. As well as coupling the concept of civil society with an auxiliary concept, which is democracy, so that talking about one of them has become as if it is not complete without talking about the other. In addition, the civil society thesis has been employed at the core of the strategies of the major powers in their dealings with regional and international affairs. The main research problem is represented in the need for the concept of civil society to be placed in its appropriate and correct context, especially in its relationship with the state, where there is a degree of ambiguity that characterizes the relationship between them. This problem raises many questions: What is the relationship of the concept of civil society with related concepts such as political society, local society, and the state? How did the main schools of thought realize the nature of the relationship between civil society and the state? What kind of change has occurred in the contemporary concept of civil society? What are the contemporary theoretical and practical approaches that dealt with the relationship between civil society and the state? In light of this, the basic hypothesis of the research is that the field of civil society is distinguished in its status, the functions of its institutions and its role from the field of the state and the functions and roles of its institutions, but at the same time their roles are complementary. This is what research is trying to prove. This is by adopting a scientific approach in the descriptive and analytical research, according to the following research plan: The first topic - theoretical dimensions of the concepts used. The second topic - civil society and the state in modern philosophies. The third topic - contemporary approaches to the relationship between civil society and the state. Conclusion .
