Axithymia (difficulty expressing feelings) and its relationship to withdrawal behavior among middle school students

The aim of the research is to identify the level of alexithymia (difficulty expressing feelings) and its relationship to withdrawal behavior according to the gender variable. The research sample consisted of (200) male and female students, including (110) male and (90) female students. ) paragraph in the light of previous research and studies, taking into account the foundations of designing psychological measures, and the researcher adopted a scale (Al-Shammari, 2005) to measure the level of withdrawal behavior, consisting of (54) items. The researcher came up with the following results: - Intermediate school students suffer from alexithymia, poor ability to express feelings. Middle school students have a level of withdrawal behavior. There are statistically significant differences between students in alexithymia, the weakness of the ability to express emotions according to the gender variable, and in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences between students in the level of withdrawal behavior according to the gender variable. There is a positive and statistically significant relationship between alexithymia and the level of withdrawal behavior among middle school students.
