Personal attractiveness from the mutual point of view of the students of the College of Education for Human Sciences and its relationship to psychological resilience

Abstract

The study aimed to construct a measure of personal attractiveness from the mutual point of view among students of the College of Education for Human Sciences, measure the level of attractiveness among students, build a measure of psychological resilience among students of the College of Education for Human Sciences, and measure the level of psychological resilience among students, identifying the relationship between the two variables and the significance of differences in the level of (attractiveness). Personality, psychological resilience) among the students of the College of Education according to the variables of gender (male-female), grade (first-fourth), the researchers relied on the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature of the research, and the research sample consisted of (280) male and female students who were randomly selected from the research community. Represented by the students of the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Mosul, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the two researchers built the two research tools and extracted their virtual and constructive validity and the discriminatory power of the paragraphs and stability in the repetition method. The stability coefficient for the measure of attractiveness was (0.85) and the stability for the measure of psychological resilience was (0.81) items. The data were treated statistically using the statistical package for the social and human worlds (SPSS). Studies showed some results, including: Students of the College of Education for Human Sciences enjoyed a high level of personal attractiveness and psychological resilience. Male students and fourth-grade students enjoyed a better level of personal attractiveness than female students and first-grade students. In light of the results, the two researchers put forward some recommendations and proposals.
