Abstract

The current research aims to know the effect of Fink's model on the development of reflective thinking and cognitive motivation among fifth grade literary students. The researcher used the experimental design with partial control and the pre and post tests for the experimental and control groups. The two groups were rewarded in the variables: (the chronological age of the students calculated in months, the scores of the intelligence test, the pretest of reflective thinking, and the pretest of cognitive motivation). The experiment extended for (12) weeks of the second course of the academic year (2018-2019), and after the end of the experiment, the reflective thinking test and the cognitive motivation scale were applied, and the validity and reliability of the two tools were verified, and by using appropriate statistical methods for data processing, the results showed the superiority of the experimental group students Which was studied according to the Fink model on the control group students in the reflective thinking test and the cognitive motivation scale. In light of the findings, the researcher developed a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
