The aim of the research is to use the mastery learning method in learning the preparation skill of the second-stage female students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad in volleyball, and to know the effect of the mastering learning method in the acquisition and retention of the preparation skill among the members of the research sample. The experimental approach was chosen using the method of equal experimental and control groups. Due to its suitability to the nature of the research problem, the research sample was selected from the students of the second stage of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
