The training needs of science teachers in the intermediate and secondary stages in Riyadh in virtual learning classes through the Madrasati platform

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the training needs of science teachers in the intermediate and secondary stages in Riyadh in the use and activation of virtual classrooms through the Madrasati platform. The results of the study showed: The level of acquisition of science teachers in the middle and secondary stages of computer skills is average with a percentage of 69%, and that the level of acquisition of science teachers in the intermediate and secondary stages of the skills of dealing with the Madrasati platform is average with a percentage of 72.4%, as well as the absence of statistically significant differences. The degree to which female science teachers in the intermediate and secondary levels acquire the skills of using the Madrasati platform is due to the variables (years of service - educational qualification - number of courses in the field of computer - number of courses in the field of e-learning - number of courses in the field of using the Madrasati platform).

The study recommended the importance of using the Madrasati platform in the educational system, especially in light of distance education, as well as the need to hold training workshops for science teachers in the intermediate and secondary levels in Riyadh on how to use and activate virtual learning classes through the Madrasati platform.
