Abstract

Egypt is one of the countries that have a special position in the Islamic world, and it is the center of the Arab intellectual and literary renaissance. Britain managed to occupy it in 1882. During World War II, British protection was declared over it in December 1914. Egypt was at that time part of the Ottoman Empire.
