Building a Negative Learning Emotions Scale among Secondary School Female Students

Abstract

The present research aims to identify the construction of a scale of negative learning emotions among secondary school female students. The two researchers built a scale of negative learning emotions among secondary school female students. The scale consists of (34) items distributed over four alternatives (always applied to me, sometimes applied to me, often applied to me, never applied to me) and it includes four areas (anger, shyness, boredom, despair). The statistical properties of the scale were run, it was found that all the paragraphs are of discrimination and statistically significant correlation.            The psychometric properties of the scale, such as virtual validity and constructive validity, have been extracted. The research sample has been determined by secondary school female students in the morning schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education of Diyala in the district of Khalis for the academic year (2022-2023). The total number of students were (3854).             The researchers used the scale of negative learning emotions according to the Pekron theory (2006) applied to a sample of (600) female students. SPSS was used to process the data. To complete the current research, the researchers came out with a set of conclusions, recommendations, and proposals.
