The impact of educational units according to learning styles in learning the technical performance of discus throwing Tweak effectiveness for students

Abstract

The importance of the research was summed up in studying the impact of learning styles on the level of technical performance of discus throwing Tweak for students, as learning according to learning such style takes place by determining that each learner has his own distinctive way of learning, and one of these important measures is to encourage learners to interact and participate in the educational process. This is done by identifying their methods of learning, as the teacher's knowledge of the learning patterns of his students has a positive impact on acquiring knowledge and skills with high efficiency. The study aimed to prepare an educational units according to the learning styles of the research sample and to know the impact of the educational units according to the learning styles in learning the technical performance of the discus throwing  tweak event for the students. The researcher adopted the experimental approach due to its suitability to the nature of the research problem. The researcher chose the research community by the intentional method, students of the second stage / College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Diyala, for the academic year (2022-2023). Their number was (165), as the total number of the research sample reached to (43) students. After excluding the students who practice the game, the learners from the two research groups of (3), and the students who were among the exploratory experiments numbering (10) students, due to the possibility of their knowledge and skill levels differing from the rest of the students included in the research. The visual style (5) students, the auditory style (4) students, and the motor style (6 students). The field research procedures included conducting exploratory experiments and tests that included (a test for evaluating the technical performance of discus throwing). The educational units were applied according to learning patterns, as the application of the educational units began on Wednesday, corresponding to 3/1/2023, and their application was completed on Wednesday, corresponding to 3/29/2022, at a rate of Two educational units per week and for days (Tuesday and Wednesday) of each week, with a total of (8) educational units. The time taken for the educational units as a whole was (540 minutes) and the duration of one educational unit was (90 minutes) distributed among the sections of the educational unit. The results of the research in the light of its objectives and assumptions. The researcher concluded that teaching according to learning styles contributed to the interaction of students with the educational process because it simulates the learning style of each student according to the style he prefers.
