Building the capacity of tests to resolve the physical issues
Abstract
The aim of the current research is to construct tests that the physics teacher can use to distinguish between students who have the ability to solve physical problems, and those who do not, in order to address these weaknesses. This group includes five tests for the second intermediate grade, five for the third intermediate grade, nine for the general fourth grade, eight for the fifth scientific grade, and seven for the sixth scientific grade. Six of the cognitive thinking abilities of Clifford's classification of mental abilities were adopted as a theoretical basis in building these tests after confirming their validity. It was applied to (300) male and female students as a sample for research. The reliability and internal validity coefficients of these tests were calculated. Its values ranged between (0.73) and (0.85), and the researcher recommended the need to use it.
