Abstract
Abstract
The effect of the substituent on the rate of reduction of PX-ArTeCl3 (X=H, OH, OCH3, OC2¬H¬5) has been investigated kinetically. The reduction obeys a second order rate law and hammett equation, it is a first order in each of the oxidizing and reducing agents. The rate and δP Values of the reaction have been determined.
