Abstract

Tissue culture technique was used to propagate three European grape varieties, Vitis vinifera L., French Black, Halawani and Kamali. The effect of the interaction between Benzyl adenine (BA) cytokines, Indole acetic acid (IAA) and Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) on the number and length of branches was studied. There was a significant increase in the average number of branches and their length for the three classes of interactions between BA at concentrations 1 and 1.5 mg/L and NAA and IAA separately at concentrations 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg/L. The interaction between BA at its concentrations and NAA at two concentrations of 0.5 and 1 mg/L led to the stimulation of callus tissue.
