Ibn Hani Al-Andalusi (Artistic Objective Study)

Abstract

“He is Abu al-Qasim al-Azdi al-Andalusi, and the son of Rawh bin Hatim bin Qabisah bin Muhallab” (1) “While Ibn Khalkan mentioned him: Abu al-Qasim and Abu al-Hasan Muhammad bin Hani al-Azdi al-Andalusi, the famous poet, it was said that he was the son of Yazid bin Hatim bin Qubisah bin al-Muhallab bin Abi Safra Al-Azdi, and it was said that he is the son of his brother, Rawh bin Hatim.” (2) He was called Al-Andalusian, and there are various opinions about the reasons for this nickname, including when this issue was presented to Ibn Hazm, he said: “This is because all historians from among our predecessors and the remaining imams – without excluding anyone … agree Provided that they attribute the man to the place of his emigration in which he settled, and he did not depart from it as a departure was left for its inhabitants until he died... So whoever migrated to us from the rest of the country, we have more right to him... And whoever migrated from us to someone else, he noted for us about him, just as we do not call on Ismail bin Al-Qasim, so we do not dispute In Muhammed bin Hani’s Sawana” (3) the title, according to this, refers to the place to which Ibn Hani migrated and settled, while Dr. Ahmed Amin and Dr. Shawqi Dhaif see a reason other than the place. Nawas (4) And Dr. Shawqi Dhaif says: distinguishing him from Ibn Hani al-Hakami, who was nicknamed Abu Nawas, the well-known poet.
