The effect of a counseling program on modifying negative thinking among students of the College of Education for Human Sciences

Developing a measure of negative thinking for students of the College of Education for Human Sciences and designing a guiding program in modifying negative thinking among students and identifying the impact of a program in modifying negative thinking among students. The research is limited to students of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Department of History, for the academic year 2017_2018. As for the research procedures, the researcher adopted the experimental design with two equal groups, and the research sample consisted of (60) male and female students (30) male and (30) female students, and (15) male students for the experimental group and (15) female students for the control group. The research has been done by the researcher. Preparing a scale to measure negative thinking among students of the College of Education for Human Sciences. The scale consists of (40) items followed by alternatives (applies to it to a very large degree, applies to it to a large degree, applies to it to a moderate degree, applies to it to a small degree, applies to it to a very small degree, and it has been identified On stability by the re-test method, (12) counseling sessions were prepared according to the cognitive-behavioral therapy of (Arn Beck), and (4) videos were shown that were taken from the Internet to crush negative thinking, to transform negative thinking into positive, and to treat negative thinking. Thus, the total number of sessions became ( 16) A counseling session, and the program was applied out of 20
