Higher-order thinking skills of primary school teachers of displaced schools in the Kurdistan region

Abstract

The current research aimed at measuring higher-order thinking skills. The research samples consisted of (328), and the main sample consisted of (68) female teachers who were randomly selected from schools for the displaced in Erbil, for the academic year (2019-2020), distributed among (4) primary schools. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, a tool was built to measure the higher thinking skills of female teachers, and the tool consisted of (8) skills containing (43) items, and in its final form it consisted of (40) items. The tool is in two ways, the first is the re-test, and its stability coefficient was (0.81), and the second is by using the alpha-Cronbach equation, whose stability coefficient was (0.88). For the significance of the correlation coefficient, the results showed that the level of higher thinking skills was weak among the respondents in general, and in the light of the research results, a number of conclusions and recommendations were drawn up.
