   Mental habits are considered as important variables related to the academic performance of learners in different learning stages. Therefore, with the beginning of the twenty-first century, many studies confirmed the importance of learning the mental habits, reviewing and evaluating the necessary reinforcement to encourage them to stick to them till they become part of using these mental habits in performing basic skills in soccer and thinking about performing it properly.

   The aim of this study is preparing exercises in terms of habits of mind to learn some basic skills in soccer, also knowing the effect of those exercises in learning some basic skills in soccer. The study concluded that using the habits of mind is of great importance in the development of thinking skills of the sample members. As a result of using habits of mind led to using strategies and skills in teaching methods based on free and critical thinking and  making use of old information in building new ideas resulting in  learning basic skills in a better way.
