The Role of Early Childhood Teachers in The Early Detection of Autism Disorders

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the role of early childhood teachers in early detection of autistic disorder traits in children in the city of Riyadh, research community consisted of early childhood teachers who work in Riyadh schools. The researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach and applied a questionnaire to measure the role of early childhood teachers in early detection of the characteristics of autism disorder on a sample of 102 teachers who were selected by a simple random sampling method ,the researcher  analyzed data through the Statistical Packages for Science Program, and the research reached the following results: Early childhood teachers play a major role in early detection of autistic disorder traits, and there are no statistically significant differences in the role of early childhood teachers in early detection of autistic disorder traits depending on the educational qualification, specialization and number of training courses , on the light of results, the researcher made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the insertion of a special education course for Bachelor of Education programs in specializations related to special education.
