Work pressures of agricultural extension agents in the Kurdistan region and its relationship to some variables

Abstract

This research aims at determining the level of workstress faced
by agricultural workers during their work in the Kurdistan region
in each of the following areas of work stress :( personal,
organizational, functional).
Then the comparison between the fields of work stress and
arranged it by level of it. So the research aims to determine the
relationship between the level of work stress for agricultural
extension agents and all of the variables (age, specialty, level of
education, duration of employment in extension jobs, work full
time for extension, the confidence to extensionwork,the attitude
towards extension work) and determine the relationship of those
stress among other factors independent. Descriptive approach
was used to achieving the objectives of the research.
Questionnaire has been prepared through several stages included
(70) items were used to determine the level of the stress of the
three areas of the stress through the scale of five-guarantee
levels. Research population includes all agricultural extension
agents in all provinces of the Kurdistan Region's (209). Random
sample was selected them by 77% and the number of
respondents (150) respondents. Data was collected using a
questionnaire by a personal interview. Many statistical methods
& software (SPSS) were used in the analysis of the study data.
The research results revealed that the level of work stress among
workers in agricultural extension in the Kurdistan Region was
middle tends to thelow. It founded correlation ship between the
level of those stress and all of the variables (age, level of
education, upbringing, the attitude towards extension work) and
non-significant for each of variables (duration of work in
counseling, work full time and for the confidence to extension
work) .The research recommended to establish training courses
for agricultural extension agents on the subject of the stress of
work and their sources. And there are need to teach to students
