Visual-Cognitive Organizing Strategies and Their Relationship to Emotional Intelligence Among Physics Teachers in the Preparatory Stage

This research aims to identify the level of implementation of visual-cognitive organization strategies among physics teachers in the preparatory stage and their relationship to emotional intelligence. The researcher adopted the descriptive correlational approach as the most suitable methodology for the nature of the research. The research population consisted of physics teachers in the preparatory stage in Babylon Governorate. The research sample consisted of (100) teachers, (50) boys and (50) girls. The researcher developed two instruments: the first was a scale for visual-cognitive organizing strategies, and the second was an emotional intelligence scale. The validity and reliability of both instruments were verified. The research results showed that physics teachers possess a good level of employing visual-cognitive organizing strategies and also have a good level of emotional intelligence. Furthermore, a strong correlation was found between the two variables. The results also revealed statistically significant differences based on gender in some of the research variables.
