Moral Sensitivity among Secondary School Female Students

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of moral sensitivity among female secondary school students. The research population consisted of 6,607 female secondary school students in the Al-Muqdadiyah district of Diyala Governorate during the 2025-2026 academic year. The research sample comprised 400 female secondary school students from Al-Muqdadiyah. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers developed a psychological scale consisting of 28 items, based on Narvis's theory (2001). The research data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical software. The results showed that most students possessed a moderate to low level of moral sensitivity. Therefore, the researchers recommended the inclusion of guidance programs in schools aimed at developing moral sensitivity by training students in self-acceptance, emotional release, responsibility, strengthening social support, and fostering positive thinking. The researchers also suggested conducting future studies with larger samples and using multiple assessment tools to generalize the results and promote the psychological well-being of female students.
