Abstract

The significance of this research lies in the fact that small games are not merely a means of entertainment or a way to pass the time; but rather a high-level educational and developmental tool. If designed and implemented on a scientific basis, they can make a fundamental difference in the dynamic and physical development of primary school students and lay the foundation for a balanced and healthy personality. As for the problem, based on the researcher's experience and review of a number of studies and research on the educational process at this stage, it was found that there is a problem regarding children 's poor performance in dynamic skills, which prompted the researcher to find a solution to this problem by relying on small games. The objectives of the research are to develop small games and to identify their impact on the development of dynamic skills among elementary school students aged 8-9years. The researcher used an experimental approach and based the study design on two equal groups (experimental and control). The sample consisted of (97) third-grade students from Al-Shahid Karim Daram Primary School. After implementing the small games, the following key conclusions were reached: small games are considered the most appropriate educational tools for this age group, as they do not require physical exertion that exceeds the capacity of children's hearts and lungs, but rather rely on short bursts of enjoyable effort. It was recommended that small games be adopted as an integral and essential part of physical education curricula for the primary school level, rather than merely as a marginal or recreational activity.
