Soft Rubber Linings Based On Ethylene Propylene Diene and its B lend With Natural and Synthetic Rubbers
Abstract
AbstractThe studies that showed that the sources of raw materials on earth will be consumed soon all lead to an inevitable conclusion, which is that science and technology must devote more attention than it was in the past to preserving and protecting minerals, especially iron and steel. Therefore, it was found that one of the solutions to this problem is lining with natural and synthetic rubber because of its resistance to the influence of some chemicals, especially acids and bases, due to its elastic and elastic nature. To achieve this goal, the following types of rubber were selected: 1- Flexible ethylene-propylene diene rubber alone. 2- Rubber made of ethylene propylene diene, styrene butadiene and natural rubber as an elastic mixture. These types of rubber were vulcanized using different additives, and the physico-mechanical and physico-chemical properties of all prepared samples were studied.
