Perspective of the rhetorical ambiguity in the poetry of Abu Tammam

Abstract

Abu Tammam is a renewed poet, the effects of a violent critical movement with his new doctrine. Literary criticism did not witness such violence in the critical movement except with another poet, Al-Mutanabbi. (The Column of Arabic Poetry)) It is meant by the set of rules and foundations that ancient Arab critics deduced from their extrapolation and reflection on pre-Islamic and Islamic poetry, things related to how the poem was built, starting with the choice of the word, the method of casting the sentence and the structure in general, and the images and everything related to the formulation of poetry. The first feature that prompted the critics to say that Abu Tammam came out on the pillar of Arabic poetry is the renewal in meanings and depth in ideas from his solid and sober culture as a writer, linguist and philosopher. He was immersed in the meanings and ideas of issues and the generation of meanings, so Abu Tammam (the inventor of meanings and ideas, but he takes the old meaning and reveals it with its new activations and splits and leaves his own touches, so his poetry shocked the recipient, a reader and a listener, because his poetry requires a special style of readers that requires a special reading effort from him It is renewed even in the topics in which the poet is closer to imitation, such as preludes.
