The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Scientific Research Skills Among Students of the Arabic Language Department in the College of Basic Education / University of Diyala

Abstract

The current research aims to identify (the role of artificial intelligence in developing scientific research skills among students of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Basic Education, University of Diyala). The research community consists of students of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Basic Education, Iraq. The study sample consisted of (50) male and female students from the fourth year of the Arabic Language Department, College of Basic Education, University of Diyala. The researchers adopted the descriptive method as it aligns with the problem and the goal of the research. The research tool consisted of a questionnaire with three dimensions containing (27) items, with (9) items for each dimension. The researchers relied on two types of validity (apparent and content), in addition to using the Likert method to extract reliability, which reached (0.85), indicating good reliability. The results showed that the third dimension ranked first, with a weighted mean of (45) and a percentage weight of (89.96). The first dimension ranked second, with a weighted mean of (4.43) and a percentage weight of (88.62), while the second dimension ranked third, with a weighted mean of (4.26) and a percentage weight of (85.3). The research reached a set of recommendations and suggestions, including the necessity of using artificial intelligence In scientific research and overcoming the difficulties faced by students when using artificial intelligence, in addition to training the students of the Department of Arabic Language, College of Basic Education, University of Diyala, it is necessary to provide more applications that integrate artificial intelligence in the process of developing scientific research skills among students and encourage them to use artificial intelligence applications in scientific research and to develop their skills through available training courses or workshops, or by integrating artificial intelligence into university curricula and enhancing cooperation and participation among students in using artificial intelligence applications. It is also necessary to conduct multiple studies on artificial intelligence applications and tools and to keep up with all developments in it.
