Fee Payment and Waiver Policy
Publication Fees
Al-Fath Journal for Educational and Psychological Research adopts a full open access policy. All articles published in the journal are made freely available to readers and institutions immediately upon publication through the journal’s website.
In order to cover some technical and editorial requirements related to the preparation of accepted manuscripts for publication, including formatting, technical production, online availability, archiving, and website management, the journal charges publication fees to authors only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication, in accordance with the fees announced on this page.
No fees are charged for manuscript submission, and publication fees are not collected before the final acceptance decision. Publication fees shall not influence peer-review outcomes, editorial decisions, acceptance, or rejection. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly originality, methodological soundness, reviewers’ reports, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to research and publication ethics.
Publication Fee Amounts
Publication fees are charged according to the number of manuscript pages as follows:
1 . Manuscripts submitted from inside Iraq:IQD 150,000 for manuscripts not exceeding 20 pages.
2. Additional pages: IQD 5,000 for each additional page after page 20, provided that this does not conflict with the maximum page limit approved in the author guidelines.
3 . Manuscripts submitted from outside Iraq: USD 200 for an accepted manuscript, or its equivalent according to the official mechanism approved by the journal and the university.
There are no submission fees, separate peer-review fees, or color charges unless otherwise officially and clearly announced on the journal’s website.

Correspondence related to publication fees should be conducted through the journal’s official email address: fatehjournal@uodiyala.edu.iq
Social media platforms, personal phone numbers, or unofficial accounts are not considered approved channels for receiving or confirming publication fees unless they are officially announced within the regulations of the university or the journal.
Refund Policy
Publication fees are charged only after acceptance. Once payment has been completed and the technical and editorial publication procedures have started, the fees are non-refundable, except in cases determined by the journal or the university in accordance with applicable administrative regulations.
Waiver or Reduction Policy
Al-Fath Journal for Educational and Psychological Research supports the principle of enabling researchers to publish their scholarly work, particularly in cases involving documented financial difficulties. Authors may request a full or partial waiver of publication fees after acceptance, provided that the request is submitted to the Editorial Board with appropriate justification and supporting documents.
Waiver or reduction requests are reviewed by the Editorial Board or the authorized body within the journal according to professional and transparent criteria. The author’s circumstances, institution, country of residence, special financial or humanitarian conditions, or updated international classifications of low- and middle-income countries may be taken into consideration.
A waiver or reduction request shall not affect peer-review outcomes or acceptance or rejection decisions. Scientific and editorial decisions remain fully independent of any financial considerations.
Principles of Financial and Academic Integrity
The journal is committed to the following principles:
1. No fees are charged for manuscript submission.
2 . Publication fees are not collected before acceptance.
3 . Acceptance or rejection decisions are not linked to payment of fees.
4 . No non-scientific publication priority is granted in return for payments, gifts, or personal benefits.
5 . No unofficial payments are accepted outside the approved administrative procedures.
6 . Authors’ financial and personal data are kept confidential and are not used outside the purposes of publication management.
7 . Any fees, waivers, or financial changes are clearly and transparently announced on the journal’s website.
Note on Country Lists
When reviewing waiver or reduction requests related to an author’s country of residence, the journal refers to updated international classifications of low- and middle-income countries and does not rely on fixed country lists within this page, as such classifications may be updated periodically. Therefore, each case is reviewed according to the classification applicable at the time the waiver or reduction request is submitted.
