Abstract

This research aimed to identify the level of psychological harmony among preparatory school students and to reveal the statistical significance of differences in this variable according to the variables of gender (male-female) and academic track (scientific-literary). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the Salman (2019) scale, consisting of 36 items, after verifying its validity, reliability, and suitability for the current environment.

The research was conducted on a sample of 400 male and female students selected using stratified random sampling from schools in Wasit Governorate for the 2025-2026 academic year. After statistically analyzing the data using the t-test and two-way ANOVA, the results showed that the sample members possessed a high level of psychological harmony compared to the hypothetical mean. The results also revealed no statistically significant differences attributable to gender, while statistically significant differences were found attributable to academic specialization, favoring science students. In light of these findings, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions to enhance psychological well-being among humanities students and keep pace with scientific advancements.
