Abstract

This study aimed to construct a perceived self-efficacy scale for male second-year intermediate school students. The researcher employed the descriptive approach using the survey method, as it was deemed appropriate for addressing the research problem. The study sample consisted of male second-year intermediate school students enrolled in intermediate schools in Abi Saida Subdistrict, Al-Muqdadiyah District, under the Directorate of Education of Diyala.

The procedures for constructing the perceived self-efficacy scale were carried out, and after presenting and discussing the findings, the researcher arrived at several conclusions. The study successfully developed a perceived self-efficacy scale for male second-year intermediate school students.

Based on the results of the statistical analysis, four dimensions were identified, constituting the perceived self-efficacy scale, which comprised a total of 45 items distributed as follows:

  • Dimension One: Performance Expectation – 12 items.
  • Dimension Two: Generality – 11 items.
  • Dimension Three: Behavioral Change – 12 items.
  • Dimension Four: Coping with Challenges – 10 items.
